In St. Louis, Panera is called the St. Louis Bread Company. Or, it was. As a native Illinoisan, I enjoyed trips to St. Louis at the STL Bread Co. plenty.
Panera Bread shares the sourdough bread bowl and little else from those days of the real Bread Co. It’s OK; my shameful love of the squash soup takes over. And the seeds. Oh, those seeds! The added FX!
Served with a half sandwich grilled cheese and diet soda, Panera isn’t five star dining–and that’s OK. I have fun no matter what.
